Anti-Corruption Regulations

The Criminal Code regulates civil servant and judiciary bribery and corruption. A new anti-corruption law, the Anti-Corruption Act (Anti-corruptiewet) has come into force as of 24 September 2017. The Anti-Corruption Act introduces the Anti-Corruption Commission (Anti-corruptie Commissie), who is tasked with the prevention and early detection of misconduct within state institutions, as well as protecting whistle-blowers and to pass on reports to the procurator general (Procureur-generaal).
