Investment companies and their administrators

The National Ordinance on the Supervision of Investment Institutions and Administrators  requires the Investment companies and their administrators to be licensed by the Central Bank in order to (i)  raise or obtain pecuniary means or other property for purposes of participating in an investment Institution or (ii) to offer participating interests in such an investment institution in or from Curaçao or (iii) to provide administrative services for investment institution. In order to be considered for a license to operate as an investment institution or administrator in Curaçao, the applicant must comply with certain requirements set by the Central Bank, which are laid down in the aforementioned National Ordinance as well as in policies of the Central Bank. Furthermore, once the license has been granted, the investment institution or administrator needs to continuously comply with the directives and guidelines issued by the Central Bank.
